Takeaways – Life. Lessons. Learned.

Brian Sorrentino

Brian Sorrentino is a director at ROI Commercial Real Estate and one of Las Vegas’ leading specialists in retail, the resort-corridor, and experience-driven destinations. His work has helped redefine what retail can be by blending restaurants, entertainment, and immersive concepts into places people remember. From Strip landmarks to AREA15, Brian has helped Las Vegas stay bold, inventive, and ahead of the curve.

From Fryers to Frontage

Brian’s real estate instincts started long before brokerage. Raised in a Burger King franchise family, he was counting cars, studying access points, and evaluating sites as a child. He later became a Houlihan’s franchisee in his twenties and moved to Las Vegas to grow the concept. Running restaurants taught him operations, customer behavior and site selection, and it ultimately showed him how location, leadership, and market forces can make or break a business.

The Next-Day Comeback

When street construction and mounting headwinds forced Brian to close Houlihan’s, he turned to his friend and broker, Dan Adamson for help. Brian didn’t realize how this interaction would inadvertently open the door for him to a new career in commercial real estate! After finding success helping clients like Fresh & Easy, Brian then faced adversity again and endured the Great Recession. Persistence helped him rebuild and help Dan transform ROI from a brokerage with three agents into a stronger, scalable firm.

Building the Vegas Experience

Brian eventually moved beyond traditional retail into the projects that helped shape modern Las Vegas. He and his team spent a decade transforming Grand Bazaar Shops, helping land destinations such as Ole Red, Bottled Blonde and Giordano’s. At AREA15, they recruited immersive concepts from around the world, including Meow Wolf. Today, Brian represents large-format entertainment brands nationally while championing a Las Vegas that remains accessible, original, and impossible to copy.
