TAKEAWAYS – Life. Lessons. Learned. explores learning from the wisdom of others.

We were on site at the SOUTHERN NEVADA NAIOP October Program. The title was Building the Past Shapes the Future

SHAWN DANOSKI and I discuss our Takeaways from this program.

The program was a a fireside chat between two industry giants and appropriately moderated by a giant in her own right – Jen Levine, Senior Vice President, RealComm Advisors!

The panelists included:

Over their careers, Tom Schoeman and Frank Martin built the largest architecture firm and general contracting company in Las Vegas respectively . They built many buildings. They built NAIOP. And they built each other.

It is easy to take an organization like NAIOP Southern Nevada. For three decades the members of this organization have provided the development industry with an aspirational standard for development, access and sharing, and people like Tom and Frank who prioritize paying it forward. This breakfast program was reflective of how we got here today and where we’re going into the future. It was the last program of the year before the Bus Tour in November and the Member Holiday event in December. For those who were there, it was a tremendous value to hear the perspectives of these industry leaders.

What were some of the Takeaways?

• What were the meaningful projects in the valley and why?
• How can NAIOP impact your career?
• After a hard-earned career, how do exit with grace and legacy.

I hope you enjoy!
